While EU cybersecurity regulations are essential for strengthening Europe’s digital resilience, their implementation remains complex and resource-intensive. Many organisations face challenges in translating regulatory obligations into operational processes, particularly in areas such as compliance tracking, certification, incident reporting, and cross-border collaboration.
DETANGLE addresses this gap by developing an integrated framework and platform designed to support: cybersecurity compliance and certification processes, incident management and reporting, collaboration among multiple stakeholders and across borders, and capacity building and awareness on regulatory requirements and best practices.
Funded under the Digital Europe Programme (DEP) and supported by the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre, DETANGLE is a 36-month, €6.8 million project involving 14 partners from 8 EU countries. The consortium includes research organisations, cybersecurity authorities, technology providers, SMEs, and specialised consultancies, combining regulatory, operational, and technical expertise. The project focuses on supporting organisations of all sizes - from national authorities, CSIRTs and SOCs to industry and SMEs - in implementing requirements stemming from major EU regulatory frameworks, including the NIS2 Directive and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).

The project officially commenced with a two-day Kick-off Meeting held in Athens on 14-15 January 2026, where consortium partners aligned on project objectives, governance structures, the technical roadmap, and stakeholder engagement priorities.
As part of the project structure, Tiko Pro contributes to DETANGLE by leading activities related to communication, dissemination, exploitation, and stakeholder engagement. These activities focus on ensuring that project results are clearly communicated to relevant stakeholder groups, supported by capacity-building actions, and positioned for long-term uptake beyond the project’s lifetime. Through structured communication strategies, targeted dissemination actions, and coordination of exploitation planning, the project aims to maximise the visibility, adoption, and impact of its outcomes across the European cybersecurity ecosystem.
Over its duration, DETANGLE will combine regulatory intelligence, technical development, stakeholder engagement, and training activities to support a more coherent and operational approach to cybersecurity compliance in Europe. The project’s results are expected to contribute to improved regulatory implementation, stronger collaboration among cybersecurity actors, and enhanced resilience across sectors.
