Tiko Pro joins the SPIRIT Slovenia delegation at European Hydrogen Week 2026
Tiko Pro will attend European Hydrogen Week 2026 as part of the SPIRIT Slovenia business delegation. The event will take place from 26 to 30 October at Brussels Expo.
Organised by SPIRIT Slovenia, the delegation will bring together Slovenian companies and organisations interested in building international partnerships and exploring new opportunities across the European hydrogen value chain.
As a member of the delegation, Tiko Pro will meet companies, researchers, public authorities, investors and project developers working on renewable hydrogen, Hydrogen Valleys, industrial decarbonisation, energy storage, infrastructure and hydrogen applications in transport.
Our participation will focus on meeting existing partners and clients, establishing new connections and discussing how innovative hydrogen projects can be developed through European cooperation and EU funding.
What would we like to discuss?
European Hydrogen Week provides the right setting for discussing projects at different stages of development.
You may already have a technology that needs to be demonstrated at a larger scale, an industrial use case that requires additional partners, or an early project idea that needs to be positioned under an appropriate European call.
Our discussions can cover:
-
renewable hydrogen technologies and value chains;
-
Hydrogen Valleys and cooperation between cities, ports and industrial regions;
-
hydrogen applications in energy-intensive industries;
-
storage, distribution and refuelling infrastructure;
-
heavy-duty, long-distance, maritime and aviation applications;
-
integration of hydrogen with renewable energy, energy storage and industrial systems;
-
consortium development and identification of suitable European partners;
-
Horizon Europe and Clean Industrial Deal funding opportunities;
-
communication, dissemination and exploitation within hydrogen projects;
-
project management and reporting after funding has been secured.
Specific Horizon Europe opportunities for 2027
Several topics in the Horizon Europe 2026–2027 Work Programme are directly relevant to organisations working across the hydrogen value chain. During European Hydrogen Week, we would be particularly interested in discussing the following opportunities.
HORIZON-CID-2027-01-02 – Clean Technologies for Climate Action
The full topic title is “R&I in Support of the Clean Industrial Deal: Clean Technologies for Climate Action.”
The topic supports innovative clean technologies that are approaching full technological maturity and market readiness. Its scope specifically includes renewable hydrogen, renewable fuels, energy storage and the development of relevant infrastructure and networks.
Projects can address the scale-up of hydrogen technologies and the development of hydrogen, gas, energy, transport or refuelling networks needed for wider deployment. Proposals should bring together clean technology providers, industrial or transport users and other partners required to create a credible value chain and business case.
The topic has a total indicative budget of €140 million. The expected EU contribution is between €15 million and €25 million per project. The call is expected to open on 12 January 2027, with a deadline of 15 September 2027.
HORIZON-CID-2027-01-01 – Decarbonisation of energy-intensive industries
The full topic title is “R&I in Support of the Clean Industrial Deal: Decarbonisation of Energy-Intensive Industries.”
This topic focuses on bringing innovative industrial decarbonisation technologies closer to the market. One of its main areas is the integration of alternative clean energy carriers, including hydrogen, into energy-intensive industrial production.
Projects may address the use of hydrogen in combination with electrification, renewable energy storage, waste-heat recovery and other technologies that can significantly reduce industrial emissions.
The call is particularly relevant for industrial companies, hydrogen technology providers, engineering organisations, research institutions and SMEs that can jointly demonstrate a first-of-a-kind solution in an operational environment.
The total indicative budget is €125 million, with an expected EU contribution of between €15 million and €25 million per project. The call is expected to open on 12 January 2027 and close on 15 September 2027.
HORIZON-MISS-2027-04-CIT-02 – Hydrogen Cities
The Hydrogen Cities topic focuses on cooperation between Hydrogen Valleys and cities interested in using renewable hydrogen to decarbonise local and peri-urban hard-to-abate sectors.
The planned action should connect cities with Hydrogen Valleys and help them develop practical roadmaps for the integration of renewable hydrogen. Relevant areas include industrial applications, heavy-duty and long-distance transport, aviation, maritime activities and cooperation with ports.
Possible activities include feasibility assessments, evaluation of technology options, hydrogen supply strategies, infrastructure planning, business models, permitting, stakeholder engagement and the preparation of funding strategies.
The topic has a total indicative budget of €5 million and is expected to fund one Coordination and Support Action. The call is expected to open on 9 February 2027, with a deadline of 7 October 2027.
How can Tiko Pro support hydrogen projects?
Tiko Pro supports companies, research institutions, public organisations and international consortia throughout the complete EU project development process.
Our work can include:
-
analysing the project idea and identifying the most suitable EU funding opportunity;
-
positioning the project in line with the objectives and expected impacts of a call;
-
developing the project concept and application strategy;
-
identifying missing expertise and supporting consortium development;
-
providing technical assistance during proposal preparation;
-
supporting communication, dissemination and exploitation activities;
-
assisting with project management, coordination and reporting after approval.
We are also open to joining suitable consortia as a project partner responsible for communication, dissemination, exploitation or other project support activities.
Who would we like to meet in Brussels?
We invite our existing partners and clients to meet us during European Hydrogen Week and discuss ongoing projects, future funding opportunities and the next steps in our cooperation.
We would also be pleased to meet:
