The Workshop “Building Cyber Resilience in the Digital Era” brings together EU-funded projects, industry experts, and organisations navigating the EU's evolving cybersecurity regulatory landscape
Athens, Greece – Organisations across Europe are facing a rapidly evolving cybersecurity regulatory landscape, from the NIS2 Directive to the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). To help businesses navigate these changes, three EU-funded cybersecurity projects - CRACOWI, DETANGLE, INCIDENTRON - will host a full-day workshop, "Building Cyber Resilience in the Digital Era," on Friday, 2 October 2026, from 09:00 to 16:00, at the Electra Palace Athens (18–20 N. Nikodimou str, 10557 Athens, Greece).
The one-day event brings together policymakers, practitioners, and peer EU-funded projects for a practical, hands-on exploration of the cybersecurity regulatory landscape now taking shape across Europe. Rather than a theoretical policy briefing, the workshop is designed as a working session - offering concrete tools, field-tested insights, and direct access to the teams building solutions for compliance and resilience.
Three Themes, One Focus - Practical Resilience
The workshop centers on three interconnected areas defining the future of digital resilience in Europe:
- NIS2 compliance - what implementation looks like in practice
- Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) enforcement - what organisations should expect as the regulation takes hold
- Cross-border cybersecurity incident response - how sectors and countries can collaborate more effectively when it matters most
The programme includes presentations from peer EU-funded cybersecurity projects, expert-led discussions on NIS2 implementation and CRA enforcement, and interactive sessions where participants can share priorities and concerns directly with the teams developing compliance tools. A networking lunch will offer further opportunity for connection within the cybersecurity community.

About CRACoWi: CRACoWi (Cyber Resilience Act Compliance Wizard) is a 36-month project funded under the Digital Europe Programme (Grant Agreement 101158539), running from September 2024 to August 2027. Coordinated by ITML and delivered by a 14-partner consortium spanning Greece, Germany, Slovenia, and Cyprus, CRACoWi helps manufacturers (particularly SMEs) navigate compliance with the EU Cyber Resilience Act ahead of its full applicability on 11 December 2027. About INCIDENTRON: INCIDENTRON (Mastering Incident Response through an Open-Source Framework, Architecture, and Platform) is a 36-month project funded under the Digital Europe Programme. The project develops a modular, scalable, open-source framework and platform that unifies incident reporting across overlapping EU regulations - including NIS2, DORA, GDPR, CER, and the Cyber Resilience Act - reducing administrative burden for essential and important entities, MSSPs, national CSIRTs, and European authorities under a "one incident, one workflow" approach.
