Building on the experience and results of the UNDERPIN project, We are preparing a new proposal under the Digital Europe Programme (DEP) to strengthen Europe’s Data Space for Manufacturing — building on the ongoing efforts to connect manufacturing ecosystems with trusted, high-value industrial data for AI-driven innovation.

The project will establish mechanisms to collect, share and utilize manufacturing data from real industrial environments, enabling AI developers to train generative AI models for advanced applications across production, engineering and supply chains.

Main objectives

  • Gather and harmonize large volumes of industrial data from real factories and production systems.
  • Develop legal, technical and business frameworks for secure and trusted data access and reuse.
  • Enable AI-powered manufacturing applications, including:
    • Product design and lifecycle management
    • Process automation and predictive maintenance
    • Digital twins and industrial metaverse use cases
    • AI-driven supply-chain optimization
  • Ensure interoperability with the AI Factories and the Data Spaces Support Centre, ensuring scalability and sustainability of the solution.

Who we are looking for

We are building a multidisciplinary consortium and are now seeking:

  • Manufacturing companies from diverse sectors willing to provide or test real-world datasets and validate AI applications.
  • AI developers and technology integrators working with generative AI, robotics, data analytics, or industrial automation.
  • Data intermediaries / trusted data stewards to enable secure governance and compliance with the Data Governance Act.
  • Research and standardisation organisations to ensure interoperability, ethics, and quality assurance.
  • AI Factories, HPC or cloud infrastructure providers to host and train large-scale AI models.
  • SMEs and startups offering innovative tools for data collection, semantic interoperability, edge computing, or machine learning.

Project details

  • Programme: Digital Europe Programme (DEP)
  • Indicative EU contribution: €3–3.5 million per project
  • Funding rate: 50% (75% for SMEs)
  • Duration: 36 months
  • Submission deadline: 3 March 2026

The project will create a foundation for next-generation AI solutions in manufacturing, reinforcing Europe’s data sovereignty and industrial competitiveness.

Tiko Pro will coordinate the preparation of the application documentation, supporting the consortium with partner structuring, drafting of technical and administrative sections, and ensuring full compliance with Digital Europe Programme requirements. Commercial cooperation is based on a fixed fee of €5,000 and a 5% success fee calculated from the awarded EU contribution.

If your organisation is interested in joining the consortium, please contact us at matej.tisaj@tiko-pro.si to explore potential collaboration.
