Official call identifier: HORIZON-CL5-2026-10-D6-10
Objective of the call
The objective of the call is to enhance the resilience of multimodal passenger transport systems through the use of digital technologies, including generative and discriminative artificial intelligence. The supported projects should strengthen the ability of transport systems to anticipate, absorb and recover from disruptions while maintaining an acceptable level of service within reasonable time and cost. Improving resilience is essential for ensuring reliable passenger mobility and supporting the objectives of the EU Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy.
Scope of activities
Projects are expected to develop and implement measures that enhance the resilience of urban, sub-urban and long-distance passenger transport systems.
The scope includes the use of digital technologies such as big data, digital twins and artificial intelligence to predict and manage disruptions, enable real-time planning, and reduce the impact of unexpected events.
Actions should integrate data from multiple sources, generate disruption scenarios, and support informed decision-making for transport operators and authorities. Solutions must be designed with the involvement of public authorities and transport operators to ensure usability and operational relevance.
Projects must test and validate their solutions in real-life multimodal transport corridors, involving at least three transport modes per use case and at least three pilot sites located in different EU Member States.
