Objective of the call
The call supports the deployment of scalable, cloud-based AI and GenAI solutions for medical imaging analysis in resource-limited medical centres.
The objective is to enhance early detection and diagnosis, reduce inequalities in access to care, address staff shortages and diagnostic delays, and ensure compliance with EU AI and data protection rules. Projects must demonstrate clinical utility, cost-efficiency, and integration into real-world healthcare workflows.
Scope of activities
Projects will:
- Deploy secure cloud environments with AI algorithms validated on large datasets.
- Integrate solutions into existing healthcare IT infrastructures (such as EHR, PACS, RIS) for real-world clinical screening.
- Perform technical and clinical validation, post-deployment monitoring, and ensure scalability across Member States.
- Engage clinicians for validation of results, involve patient representatives, and address ethical and legal aspects.
- Leverage existing European infrastructures and prior EU-funded initiatives.
Eligible applicants
- Innovative SMEs, startups and enterprises aiming to scale and strengthen competitiveness
- Public-sector organisations driving transformation and societal impact
- Research and academic institutions commercialising knowledge
- Non-profit organisations delivering purpose-driven innovation
- Only the following countries are eligible: EU Member States, EEA countries and Switzerland (participation limited to specific eligible countries)
- Minimum 3 independent partners from 3 eligible countries

Consortia must include medical centres from multiple Member States and combine technical, medical and public health expertise.
