🌐 CEF Digital - New calls open for Digital Global Gateways

New CEF Digital calls for proposals worth €200 million have been launched to support backbone connectivity infrastructure, including submarine cables and fibre networks.

The calls aim to strengthen secure, high-capacity connectivity between Europe and global partners, improve resilience of critical infrastructure and support the EU’s strategic autonomy in digital networks.

The European Commission launched a call for evidence to revise EU water legislation, including the Water Framework Directive.

A new Horizon Europe EU Space Research call (2026) has opened with a total budget of €90.97 million, supporting projects across space technologies, satellite systems and innovation in the European space sector.

The call aims to strengthen Europe’s strategic autonomy in space, boost competitiveness of the EU space industry and support the development of critical technologies, with a submission deadline of 3 September 2026.

♻️ Circular Economy - EU-funded projects highlighted on Global Recycling Day

On Global Recycling Day, the Commission showcased EU-funded projects advancing circular economy solutions, including innovations in recycling, waste reduction and sustainable resource management.
